Who Makes the Coffee??

A married couple was arguing about who is making the coffee. The wife said that in the Bible it says that men should make the coffee and the husband asked her where it said that. The wife opened the Bible and said: "Right here in HEBREWS!"

Devotional - I Give You Hinds Feet

  The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like hinds feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. ( Habakkuk 3:19 ) He makes my feet like hinds feet, and setteth me up on my high places. ( Psalm 18:33) Recently, I had a dream. In that dream, I was standing outside the post office in the village square of my small, St. Elizabeth community. Across the road was the house of the postmistress, Mrs Hinds, which was being demolished by a bulldozer. The structure appeared old and it was apparent that it was no longer useful. Close to the house being demolished was, however, a smaller structure which was fairly new and was spared from demolition. My instinct told me that this newer structure would form part of a new house that was going to be built. In dream symbolism, a house usually represents an individual, so I realised that the Lord was communicating a message to me. Devotional - Plug Into The Source

  I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much   fruit; for without Me you can do   nothing.     John 15: 5 It was very hot, muy caliente, and so, in a desperate bid to get relief, I turned on my fan. But the anticipated relief did not materialize. The fan did not budge. It did not seem to be working. Puzzled, I got up to check as I thought it was malfunctioning. Everything seemed to be intact, but on closer examination, I realized that it was not plugged into the socket. It was therefore lacking the power it needed to do its job. By itself, it could not function, it couldn’t fulfill the purpose for which it was created, but as soon as it was connected to the source of power, it was good to go.  It provided a cool refreshing breeze to combat the fierce heat, providing a sense of comfort and relief. Devotional - Knowing God's Voice

  My sheep hear my voice , and I know them, and they follow me John 10:27 Recently I was watching the Sports news on television. When a particular item of news came on, the video of the event came up on the screen, but the reporter's face was not shown. Even though I did not see a face, I instantly recognized the voice of the reporter. It was easy for me. I did not have to struggle because I watch the news on a regular basis and as such, I have become accustomed to not just the faces, but also the voices of various reporters. Distinguishing one from the others was therefore not an issue for me. This to me was simple, yet profound. We often struggle to hear the voice of God. God is always speaking but we do not always hear because of the clamor around us. pub-3751615692135036   Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ...”  Romans 8:11  (MSG)   It is said that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and I recently had a personal experience that proves that this saying is quite true. Recently, I threw out an old fan which I had bought years ago when I started working after leaving University. Though it could still function somewhat, it wasn’t as effective as when I first bought it. Constant use over the years had started to take its toll.   It could no longer rotate; it had started to rust and the head was almost severed from the trunk. To me, it was not worth fixing. It seemed useless so I threw it out. Out with the old, in with the new. To my surprise, within a few hours it had found a new owner.
